Leitrim Church connecting to the world with latest technology

Ballinamore parish have become one of the first in the world to install automated candelabras. This innovative technology allows parishioners anywhere in the world to light a candle online which instantly lights automatically in the church. It also provides an easy to use and secure option for parishioners to pay contributions and make donations online directly to their parish.

This innovation is the brainchild of Leitrim based Martin Costello who is the owner of ChurchTv who are the market leaders of church live streaming in the region. Martin has been a technology entrepreneur for over 30 years. The innovative technology has been 3 years in development and was inspired by messages received from viewers on the ChurchTv platform who were hoping to engage more.

 

The system allows users of the ChurchTv platform to light candles, pay contributions and make donations using the simple step by step process. Users choosing to light candles can make a dedication, leave a note and the process completes with the candles lighting automatically in the church. This facility can be accessed from anywhere in the world 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
